We’ve added a feature that we’re sure will be incredibly helpful when it comes to managing bookings and check-ins at your hotel and pet daycare.
We know that controlling the occupancy and availability of rooms or kennels is a complex task, especially during peak periods.
As you know, Gespet solutions for hotel and daycare management have been designed to assist you with this management and planning.
Today, we’re here to tell you that we’ve taken a step further in availability checking by developing a new Advanced Availability Checker.
As you already know, whenever you add a new booking or check-in, or when you make a modification, the system automatically checks availability and only shows available rooms or kennels.
But unforeseen events can happen, and you might need to temporarily deactivate a room today, for example. You would need to remember to check if that room was reserved for the coming days and reassign a new room for that booking.
To make this task easier for you, the system will automatically perform these checks for you.
Now, when you make the check-in from a prior booking ("convert" a booking into a check-in), you will see the advanced checker.
Would you like to see an example?
For instance, we have a booking for Roko in room or kennel 8; he has just arrived at our hotel/daycare, and we’re going to check in that booking.
We see that the room is available or and its status is ; therefore, it’s empty and ready to be used, and we just need to proceed with the check-in.
It might happen that we had to deactivate or disable the room because, for example, a repair is needed. In that case, we would see that the room’s status is .
Or, for instance, that we forgot to register the departure of the pet that was staying in that room, and the checker will show that the room’s occupancy is: .
The checker shows you the status, and you decide:
If you want to modify or edit that booking to assign another room or kennel before checking in, by clicking the button
Or check the planning by clicking on the option View Planning
Or check in anyway to that room by clicking
