Gespet Updates: New and Improved Template Placeholders

These are the latest improvements we have added to Gespet. They include requests and suggestions you have shared with us, designed to make the daily management of your pet business much easier and more efficient.

As you may already know, Gespet includes template placeholders that you can use in message templates, documents and contracts.

When creating a template, you can easily insert placeholders wherever you want information such as the customer’s name, pet details, your business information, check-in date and other data to appear automatically.

You simply design the document, contract or message the way you want, and Gespet will automatically replace each placeholder with the corresponding customer, pet, booking, appointment or business information.

New template placeholders for pet business documents and contracts

• Business opening hours. You can now include your configured business hours automatically in documents and contracts, as well as in email and WhatsApp templates. Gespet will use either your global business hours or the specific opening hours configured for each business area, depending on the context. Days with the same schedule will be grouped together to make the information easier to read.





• Custom pet information. A new customizable block lets you automatically include detailed information about each pet. You can choose which pet data to display, change the order of the fields and customize the format.
  If a booking, appointment, check-in or service includes several pets, the information block will automatically be repeated for each pet.

  
  
  

  If you prefer, you can also use simpler pet information placeholders containing basic details such as the pet’s name, sex, breed and microchip number (optional).

  You can choose which information you want to display, change the order and customize the format. If several pets are included, the information will automatically be repeated for each one.





• Puppy information. In puppy sales documents and contracts, you can now automatically include much more information about the puppy being sold.

  If you prefer, you can use simpler puppy information placeholders containing basic details such as the puppy’s name, sex, breed and microchip number (optional).





• Dates, times and duration. In your pet business documents and contracts, you can now use template placeholders to automatically display the dates, times and duration of:

  • Bookings

  • Appointments

  • Pet boarding stays

  • Services

  • Veterinary consultations

  You can also choose your preferred time format: 24-hour or AM/PM.





• Employee and professional information. You can use placeholders to automatically include the details of the professional assigned to the appointment or service:

  • Pet groomer

  • Dog trainer

  • Veterinarian





• More customer information. In documents and contracts, you can now use placeholders to automatically include the customer’s WhatsApp number and other important customer information.





• Veterinary prescriptions. Veterinary prescription templates can now automatically include additional pet information such as breed, neuter/spay status and date of birth.





• More information about employees, veterinarians and suppliers. In documents and contracts, you can now use template placeholders to automatically include their WhatsApp number.

New preview for template placeholders

In addition to the improvements suggested by our users, we have also introduced a new preview feature. Before adding a template placeholder to a document or contract, you will be able to see the placeholder itself, an explanation of what it does and an example of how the information will appear once the placeholder is automatically replaced.

The new pet and puppy information blocks also include additional guidance to help you customize them more easily.
